Breaking News: Stefan Mitrović - AS Monaco Update
Stefan Mitrović, the Serbian international footballer who played for both Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, has announced his decision to join French club Monaco.
Mitrović, who was born in Serbia but moved to France at the age of six, joined Real Madrid at the age of 17 before making his debut for the club against Inter Milan in 2014. He went on to make over 80 appearances for the Spanish giants and scored 59 goals during his time with them.
In 2018, Mitrović made a move to FC Barcelona, where he won the La Liga title that year. However, he struggled to find consistency at the Nou Camp and ultimately left the club after just one season.
In June this year, Mitrović signed a three-year contract with Monaco, joining the team from the French Ligue 1 side Stade de Reims. The 26-year-old midfielder is known for his technical skills and ability to play as a right-sided player.
Mitrović's arrival in Monaco brings much-needed experience to the squad, as well as a fresh perspective on the game. The club has been successful in recent years, winning the UEFA Champions League and the Coupe de la Ligue twice.
